Welcome
We're Anke and Nils, locals here in Grindelwald, and we live in the house ourselves. Our holiday flat is on the lower floor, with its own entrance and a terrace looking straight out at the Eiger, Wetterhorn and Fiescherlücke.
In summer you'll find us on our bikes or swimming in Lake Brienz and Lake Thun, in winter on skis. We're happy to share our favourite routes and insider tips. We look forward to welcoming you!

Overview
The 50 m² apartment is on the lower floor of our house, completed in 2017. It sleeps two adults (possibly with an infant) and has an open kitchen with living area, shower/WC and a bedroom. Outside there is a spacious terrace. The apartment has its own entrance, and you can park for free on the private road right next to the house.
Location
Right in the middle of it all: the «Alpenblick» bus stop is just 100 metres away, and the First cable car is a five-minute walk.

We had a fantastic time staying in Anke's apartment in Grindelwald. The apartment was very spacious, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and nicely situated away from the busy village centre. It was also extremely well equipped. We particularly appreciated the generous amount of crockery so one could use the dishwasher efficiently - quite a rare thing in an Airbnb property. The view of the mountains from the terrace was amazing. Anke was a wonderful host, very friendly and interesting to chat to and she gave us recommendations for hikes and restaurants. The hiking was fantastic - classic alpine meadows with beautiful wild flowers, mountain streams, pretty forests and outstanding views of all the mountains.

Anke's apartment is spacious, very clean and tidy. It's fully equipped with everything you would possibly need for cooking and laundry, all cooking utensils, equipment, basic seasoning are provided, even down to things like baking paper, aluminium foil and glad wrap. The house also has floor heating function for winter. Anke is also a very friendly and responsive host, happy to answer all my questions regarding the local neighbourhood and to help us with our stay. Best of all, the majestic view of the Eiger Mountain is right opposite the house and you can enjoy the view just by pulling back the curtains. Being able to drink hot chocolate in comfort while enjoying the majestic view of the Eiger in winter has always been a goal, and this accommodation easily matches and exceeds all my expectations I had for an ideal Switzerland trip.

Getting here & parking
How do I get to Grindelwald by train?
Take the train to Interlaken Ost, then the Bernese Oberland Railway to Grindelwald. From the station, the bus takes 5 minutes to the «Alpenblick» stop (100 m from the apartment) or the «Kirche» stop (160 m).
Can I come by car and park?
Yes. You park for free on the private road right next to the house.
Payment & cancellation
How and when do I pay?
You pay nothing when you send your request. Once we have confirmed, you receive the rental agreement. The deposit of 50 % is due 14 days before arrival (the exact date is in the agreement), the balance by arrival. From Switzerland and Liechtenstein you pay easily with the QR payment slip. If you live in another country, you receive a payment link and pay by credit card – no international bank transfer needed.
Can I cancel free of charge?
Yes, free of charge up to 14 days before arrival. After that, 50 % (13–3 days) or 80 % (from 3 days) of the rental price applies. You can also propose a substitute tenant.
